Pedro Barros is known for his power, style fearlessly destroys transition, whether pools, pipes or parks with epic speed. Born in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, Pedro Barros grew up in the state capital, Florianopolis, an Atlantic coastal city known as a surfer’s paradise. His outstanding skills and contributions to skateboarding as a professional skateboarder have lifted him to No. 1 status in Brazil.
Since winning 2010 X-Games Gold in Park, Pedro has had some impressive finishes. He earned himself a silver medal in 2011 X-Games Park, won the 2011 Vans Pro-Tec Pool Party, had back to back wins at the Oakley Bowl-A-Rama in Wellington, Australia and Vans Bowl-A-Rama in Sydney, took 2nd at the Converse Coastal Carnage in Huntington Beach, CA August 2011, and most recently won his second X Games Skateboard Park gold medal at X Games Los Angeles 2012.
At the age of 17, he skates with power and tenacity, like a well tuned machine, destroying the coping and maxing out every air.
Recently, he has been competing in Big Air with the likes of Bob Burnquist, Jake Brown, Pierre Luc Gagnon. In his down time, Pedro enjoys surfing and skating his personal bowl and vertical ramp right in his own backyard.
